Gatherings of less than 100 people do not require approval from the Burswood Park Board, provided the following by-laws and mandatory guidelines are adhered to:
Failure to comply with the above guidelines will lead to further action by the Burswood Park Board and, where necessary, the WA Police will also be notified.
It must also be noted that the Burswood Park Board is not liable for any personal damage or injury to guests or members of the public caused by guests. This liability remains with the individual/s.
A landmark for visitors and a popular venue for weddings, the graceful structure of the Swan Shell soars above the surrounding parklands. It is freely available for public use, but bookings are essential.

Corporate events are not permitted within the park grounds.
Burswood Park Board is a strong supporter of charity events, including the Telethon Community Cinemas, Walk to Cure Juvenile Diabetes, Have-A-Go Day, the John Hughes’ Big Walk, HBF Run for a Reason, Walk to D’Feet Motor Neurone Disease and many others.
These events typically attract thousands of people and, as such, require the endorsement and management support of the Burswood Park Board to be hosted on Park grounds.
An application to hold a community or charity event must be completed and submitted by the event organisers at least 16 weeks prior to the event.
