Play in the park

Burswood Park is a fun place for children of all ages.

From tiny tots to teenagers, the park offers hours of entertainment for children (and their grown-ups!) - including a fully-fenced playground, river foreshore, a network of pathways for cycling and skating, or the fun of exploring WA's history on our heritage trail.

Bring a picnic and relax while the kids run around - on the weekends, public and school holidays, you can also pick up an icecream, sno cone, or coffee by the playground from Happy Chappy Ice Cream & Coffee. Please note, their attendance is weather permitting - rain or extreme heat will keep them away.

Please note that the playground is fenced to keep animals out, not to keep your kids in. The gates are therefore not self-closing or lockable, so please supervise your children at all times.

A recent addition to the park near the playground is Danny Boys Decker Diner. A converted double decker bus, the diner serves burgers, hot dogs, fries and drinks from Thursday to Sunday, 5.30-9.30pm. Grab a bite and watch the sun set over the river from your vantage point on the top level.
